FIELD: transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: tamping members containing independent drives of movement along railway line are moved to the working area. Tamping members are located on the machine having the drive of movement along rails. Tamping picks are buried in ballast. The line is straightened and tamped. Tamping members are lifted after being moved with longitudinal movement drives and buried in the ballast. Drive of the device is activated.
