FIELD: medicine, protective means. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used on a helmet shield to filter the light falling from a ignition torch of a welding set. An automatic shade filter (ASF) contains a mask; a switch-selected filter mounted in a mask and changed between light to black by a control signal; a control unit with the switch-selected filter and a power control unit. Herewith the control unit is designed to activate and deactivate the control unit of the switch-selected filter with regarding a threshold condition observed or not. The method to control the switch-selected filter contains the stages: detection of travel of the switch-selected filter and control of power supplied to the switch-selected filter with regarding the perceived travel. When the threshold condition is observed, the switch-selected filter is switched to ON position whereat the switch-selected filter changes between light to black regarding the control signal. If the threshold condition is not observed, OFF position is remained or the switch-selected filter is returned to OFF position whereat the control unit of the switch-selected filter does not generate and does not send the control signal indicating the presence of light falling on the switch-selected filter. ^ EFFECT: application of said group of inventions allows saving electric power by power pulldown of the device when it is not used and switching on the device only when it is required. ^ 19 cl, 5 dwg |
