CHITOSAN MICROSPHERE FOR EMBOLOTHERAPY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE: A chitosan microsphere for embolotherapy is provided to maintain strength over certain level and ensure uniform size and elasticity. CONSTITUTION: A composition for embolotherapy contains a chitosan microsphere having uniform size and sphere. The chitosan microsphere contains polyethyleneoxide. A method for manufacturing the microsphere comprises: a step of making chitosan solution; a step of dropping chitosan solution to upper layer of organic solvent or lower layer of alkali solution or anion solution; and a step of cross-linking the formed microsphere. Dropping is performed using nitrogen gas.
