PURPOSE: An optical sheet is provided to minimize the loss of energy by recycling light through the reflection of lost light, to improve coefficient of utilization of the light, and to increase brightness of a liquid crystal device. CONSTITUTION: An optical sheet includes a plurality of anisotropic optical films which are laminated each other. The anisotropic optical films have principal axis refractive indexes of thickness direction. The principal axis refractive index(nx) is maximum or minimum among the principal axis refractive indexes. The anisotropic optical films(202,204,206,208,210,212) have an optical axis. The direction of the optical axis is same as the principal axis direction of the nx principal axis refractive index.
