<p>PURPOSE: A portable computer and a docking station are provided to increase the usability of a portable computer by providing more convenient interface environment. CONSTITUTION: A frame(101) of a docking station receives a portable computer(500) and allows the attachment and detachment of the portable computer therefrom. A hardware switch(102) indentifies the kind of device and the docking station which are prepared for the portable computer. A control unit(107) enables communication with the portable computer by converting a control signal into a compatible signal. A UI(User Interface)(105) receives the information from a user and inputs the information to the control unit.</p> |
