OSCILLATOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND ULTRASONIC MOTOR INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillator of an ultrasonic motor, which not only is easily and simply manufactured and also includes a reliable electrode connecting portion.

SOLUTION: The oscillator 20 of the ultrasonic motor includes: an oscillating member 20a; and a piezoelectric material 21 which generates a travelling wave when a voltage is applied and oscillates an oscillating member. The piezoelectric material 21 includes: a first piezoelectric layer 22 whose positive electrode and negative electrode are polarized alternately and are mounted to the oscillating member 20a; a second piezoelectric layer 23 whose positive electrode and negative electrode are polarized alternately and are mounted to the first piezoelectric layer; an electrode portion 40 which is provided with a plurality of electrodes formed on first surfaces of the first and second piezoelectric layers and on second surfaces opposing the first surfaces; and an electrode connecting portion 60 which is formed on outer peripheral faces of the first and second piezoelectric layers and connects the plural electrodes mutually and selectively.
