<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: a power frequency converter to be mounted on an aircraft cannot clear the required specifications of load request change of a power supply unit to be mounted on the aircraft because the charges accumulated by a relaying DC power supply in the inside of the power supply frequency converter for the aircraft, are changed owing to instantaneous consumption power of a load device, and a method using a low pass filter causes increases in the volume or weight of the converter and costs. <P>SOLUTION: This power supply frequency converter is provided with a current control circuit (active element) connected between a rectifier 4 of a DC power supply in the inside of the power supply frequency converter and a smoothing capacitor 7, and controlling variation in a rectification current generated due to variation in an instantaneous current of the load device. When a rectification current increases, the current is limited so as to be a current reference value not more than the rectification value, and thereby when the rectification current decreases, the current is increased up to near the current reference value and the rectification current of a rectifier is suppressed to almost predetermined value, thereby releasing the influence on a primary power supply side caused by the variation of instantaneous consumption power of the load device.
