<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation film which is excellent in durability without causing any turbidity even when being exposed to high temperature and high humidity surroundings, and is stably manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The optical compensation film includes a transparent substrate composed of a polymer film containing a compound represented by formula (I) and containing no phosphate-based compound and an optically anisotropic layer composed of a liquid crystal composition at least containing a liquid crystal compound.
