<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infusion leakage detection device capable of detecting the detachment from a blood vessel of a needle detained in the vein with excellent sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: A catheter is punctured and detained, and electrodes comprising a metal pipe provided between introduction tubes between the catheter and infusion and disposed on an infusion container side and electrodes provided on the body surface on the indwelling vein separated from a catheter indwelling place are installed. By applying an AC constant current between the metal pipe electrode far from the punctured catheter of the metal pipe electrodes and the electrode positioned on a body surface at a position far from a needle indwelling place, and measuring a potential difference between the electrode disposed on a catheter side of the electrodes comprising the metal pipe provided between the soft tubes between the needle and the infusion and the electrode closer to the catheter indwelling place of the two electrodes provided on the body surface on the indwelling vein separated from the catheter indwelling place, it is detected that the catheter is detached from the punctured blood vessel and the infusion is injected to tissue outside the blood vessel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
