<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small device for detecting a particulate matter with and a small error in measurement, for being manufactured inexpensively. <P>SOLUTION: The device 100 for detecting a particulate matter includes a detecting device body 1 with at least one through-hole 2 formed on one end, which is long in one direction, at least a pair of electrodes 11, 12 buried in the wall of the through-hole 2 and covered by a dielectric, wiring 11b, 12b extending from the pair of electrodes 11, 12 to other ends of the detecting device body 1 respectively, and a strip ground electrode 14 located at the position between the wiring 11b, 12b, in which a particulate material contained in a fluid flowing in the through-hole or a particulate material contained in a fluid flowing into the through-hole which is charged by a discharge caused in the through-hole 2 by applying a voltage to the pair of electrodes, is electrically absorbed by the wall surface of the through-hole, and the particulate material absorbed by the wall surface of through-hole 2 is detected by measuring changes in the electric characteristics of the wall forming the through-hole 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
