PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow one to visually recognize a display color so as to clearly discriminate it from a base color even if the base color of a packing material is closed to the display color which is printed on a surface of the packing material as an indication associated with an article to be packed with the packing material. SOLUTION: The packing material 1 includes a packing part 11 for accommodating the article, and a display part 10 printed on a surface of the packing part 11. The display part 10 includes a color display part 100 for allowing one to visually recognize a color on a base color of the surface of the packing part 11. The color display part 100 includes a first layer 101 printed in solid in a first color having a smaller color phase difference and/or brightness difference relative to the base color, and a second layer 102 printed by dots on the first layer 101 in a second color having a less brightness relative to the first color.
