<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sub tank unit capable of keeping an upper space inside a tank body in the atmosphere of the saturated gas of functional liquid, and to provide a droplet discharging apparatus provided with the sub tank unit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the sub tank unit for receiving functional liquid replenishment from a main tank 61 and supplying the functional liquid to a functional liquid droplet discharging head while maintaining a water head value with an inkjet functional liquid discharge head in a prescribed range, the sub tank unit is provided with: the tank body for storing the functional liquid; and an aeration tube 76 one end of which is communicated with the upper space of the tank body and the other end of which is opened to the atmosphere. The aeration tube 76 is piped so as to draw a loop for two or more times in the vertical direction near the tank body, and has a volume equal to or larger than that of the upper space.
