<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable cleaning tool with excellent operability, which is used for all cleaning parts. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The portable cleaning material-locking tool includes: a one-hand grippable axial cylinder 10 where an engagement mechanism for engaging a cleaning material is formed at the front end and whose partial portion 12 is molded so as to be resiliently deformable by a coil spring 13; and a return spring 16. The engagement mechanism includes: a projection body 20 which is projecting outward when urged by the return spring 16 and returned when the urging return spring 16 is eliminated; and a storage end 11 which forms a gap when the projection body 20 is projecting outward and eliminates the gap when the projection body 20 is returned. The engagement mechanism has a structure where a part of the cleaning material invades the gap where the projecting projection body 20 is enclosed by the cleaning material.
