PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of a potential difference on a boundary between an image part and a non-image part, occurring when a fine line is formed on a photoreceptor, without providing an auxiliary exposure means. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 includes: an image information obtaining part 12 obtaining image information; a line drawing area setting part 14 setting a line drawing area in an image shown by the image information obtained by the image information obtaining part 12; and a dot area ratio correcting part 18 correcting the image density of the non-image part of an area set as the line drawing area by the line drawing area setting part 14.
