A method and a device for providing capability information of condition based URIs selection (CBUS) server are disclosed. The method includes: sending the capability information of the CBUS server to the CBUS client end; receiving the uniform resource identifier (URI) selection request generated by the CBUS client end according to the capability information. The problem that the client end does not know exactly the capability of the CBUS in time before the client end sending the request to the CBUS server is resolved. The client end can exactly send the URI selection request according to the capability information.
