WEIGHT SCALE EQUIPPED WITH SUBCUTANEOUS FAT THICKNESS MEASURING UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight scale equipped with a subcutaneous fat thickness measuring unit devised to prevent a measuring body from being pulled in the direction of separation from a measuring region even if a cord is energized in the take-up direction.

SOLUTION: The weight scale includes the subcutaneous fat measuring unit 2 having control bodies 10 and 11 to be held by hand in such a way as to press the measuring body 17 for measuring the subcutaneous fat thickness on the measuring region of a subject. The weight scale also includes a cord reel 26 allowing a flexible cord 7, which electrically connects the subcutaneous fat thickness measuring unit 2 to the weight scale 1, to be pulled out while energized in the take-up direction. The weight scale also includes locking means 31, 32 and 33 for locking the cord 7 at the pulled-out position against the energizing power.
