摘要 A method for producing an induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell from a mammalian somatic cell using one or a plurality of expression vectors containing one or a plurality of DNAs encoding a nuclear reprogramming factor separately or in combination.  The expression vector is a vector which is not inserted into the endogenous genome of the somatic cell.  Provided is a method for producing an iPS cell which do not contain DNA encoding an exogenous nuclear reprogramming factor or do not have an ability to express the DNA, including inducing an iPS cell by introducing the expression vector into the somatic cell and ablating the function of the expression vector in the iPS cell.  Also provided is an iPS cell in which the expression of a nuclear reprogramming factor has been knocked out.
