A metal-clad phenolic-resin laminate is provided which has all of mechanical properties, electrical properties, and tracking resistance. The metal-clad phenolic-resin laminate is characterized by being obtained by: superposing an outer layer part comprising either one sheet or a given number of stacked sheets of a glass-fiber-base prepreg obtained by impregnating a glass fiber base with a second phenolic-resin composition containing a resol resin, on each of the upper side and lower side of a core layer part comprising either one sheet or a given number of stacked sheets of a paper-base prepreg obtained by impregnating a paper base with a first phenolic-resin composition containing a resol resin; further superposing a metal foil on at least the upper-side or lower-side outer layer part; and heating and pressing the resultant assemblage. |
