The operating device (10) has a connecting device (14) for a lift tube (16), and a coupling (18) for a vacuum gripper (20), where the operating device is formed between the connecting device and the coupling according to a type of a pistol grip (22). The coupling is pivotably supported at the pistol grip around a horizontal axis (28), where the pistol grip has an extractor hood for actuating a ventilating valve. The lift tube and/or the vacuum gripper are connected with surroundings over the valve, and the coupling is rotatable around a vertical axis concerning to the pistol grip.
