Production line includes- a workpiece transporting conveyor (12) having two opposed assembly zones (13, 14) and a U turn section (20) interconnecting respective one end portions of the assembly zones; and a component part transporting path (100) that has a generally rectangular loop shape as viewed in plan and includes two generally parallel" opposed long-side sections (16, 17 and 18, 19) extending along and generally parallel to the assembly zones (13, 14) and that has component part boxes (15) arranged therealong. The production line further includes two component part supply centers (23, 26) at opposite end portions of the component part transporting path (100).
