PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and an operation control method thereof are provided to give visual and tactual effects a user as the feedback for a key operation. CONSTITUTION: When a buried type is selected, a controller provides a user with a linear feedback(S201). The controller judges not only a key input duration time for the buried type key(S202) but also the type of the key through the key input time(S203). If the input duration time corresponds to a short key input, the controller drives the function corresponding to the short key input. The controller gives visual and tactual effects corresponding to the short key input(S204).
