<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle not requiring reduction of catalyst deterioration detection frequency. <P>SOLUTION: Oxygen occlusion quantity calculation forbidding time is set based on the latest history of rich integrated air quantity egasumrh and oxygen occlusion quantity Cmax of an exhaust emission control catalyst, and calculation of the oxygen occlusion quantity Cmax of the exhaust emission control catalyst is forbidden until the oxygen occlusion quantity calculation forbidding time set after completion of rich control elapses. Consequently, since the oxygen occlusion quantity forbidding time based on base oxygen occlusion quantity (oxygen occlusion quantity without executing rich control) is appropriately set, deterioration of the exhaust emission control catalyst is detected without missing a few detection opportunities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
