<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of alleviating a load key exchange processing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Each VPN terminal 20 acquires the terminal information of the other VPN terminal 20 from a VPN-DNS server 10 connected via a network 30. The acquired terminal information is correlated to each of the other VPN terminals 20, and a session key for transmission used for the encryption of information which is transmitted by the terminal itself to the VPN terminal 20 is registered in a key DB of the terminal itself. Furthermore, each VPN terminal 20 transmits the session key for transmission corresponding to each of the other VPN terminals 20 to the VPN-DNS server 10. Then, each VPN terminal 20 acquires the session key corresponding to the terminal itself which is transmitted to the VPN-DNS server 10 by the other VPN terminal 20.
