<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid deterioration or damage to print due to environmental changes in a decorated plastic member with printed characters. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This decorated plastic member 1 with printed characters is composed of an exterior plastic member 3 of electronic equipment, a base coat layer 5 provided on the surface of the exterior plastic member 3 to enhance adhesiveness, a decoration layer 7 decorated with vapor deposition or printing on the surface of the base coat layer 5, a printed character part 9 with characters printed on the surface of the decoration layer 7, and a top coat layer 11 covering the surface of the decoration layer printed with printed character part 9.
