摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve holding force for holding a member to be held by a swaged part in a case that the caulked part is formed on a workpiece with a swaging roller. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The radius R of curvature in the bending direction, on the swaging face 28 of a swaging roller 24, of a curved portion 28a is made into a smaller radius of curvature than the sum of the thickness t of an unworked part 8x and the radius r of curvature in a corner part 14c of an outer race 14a. Therefore, the pressure component in the direction along the peripheral wall part 8c of a bearing holder is made larger than the usual value in the way of a bending stage where the unworked part 8x is bent so as match to the corner part 14c by bringing a swaging face 28 into contact with the unworked part 8x. Consequently, because the plastic flow to the peripheral wall part 8c is increased and the amount of elastic deformation in the peripheral wall part 8c is reduced, the difference of the amount of the elastic deformation from the outer race 14a is made larger.
