The device (1) has a frame (10) and/or a monitor (30) i.e. flat monitor, including an electrically conductive surface (12) adjacent to a gap (5) between the frame and the monitor. The surface is a part of a capacitive electrical component i.e. low pass filter, of a motor control. A capacity of the electrical component and an electrical characteristic value profile are changed by an approach of a human body part e.g. finger, towards the surface. The motor control deactivates a drive motor during operation of the motor when the profile lies within a preset characteristic value profile field.
