Provided is a content distribution system which can divide a content at an appropriate position when recording the content on a recording medium. A content distribution system (100) includes: a content distribution device (200) which distributes a content; and a terminal device (300) which records the content.  The content distribution device (200) includes: a storage unit (201) which stores division information which indicates the division position when dividing the content; and a distribution unit (204) which reads the division information from the storage unit (201) and distributes the division information to the terminal device (300).  The terminal device (300) includes: a reception unit (302) which receives division information from the content distribution device (200); and a recording unit (304) which acquires the content divided at the division position indicated by the division information and records the divided content on a plurality of recording medium.
