PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a water theft that may be committed since a water line is made to supply water easily by an anyone's rotational operation of a hydrant handle on a hydrant. SOLUTION: The present invention discloses a key type shared hydrant, a joint of a hydrant handle and hydrant rod is formed into a spline-shaped knurl, a cover for protecting a joint part of the hydrant rod is provided in a box nut in a hydrant upper part, to evade the hydrant rod from being exposed, and the water flow operation in the hydrant is deterred from being carried out by a tool such as pinchers, or a general shared hydrant key.
