PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opto-electric module which is molded, in a state in which light-receiving/emitting elements and metallic leads are electrically connected to one another, can solve the complexity of the manufacure of the opto-electric module having a trench structure, and can be simply and inexpensively manufactured, and to provide an efficient method for manufacturing the module. SOLUTION: The module is such that a part of molded structure has a trench part, while the trench part is provided with an exposed light-receiving/emitting surface formed at its bottom, is formed from the exposed light-receiving/emitting surface, to at least an edge of the molded structure, and an optical wiring is embedded in the trench part.
