<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene-modified animal for evaluating the harmfulness or the influence of a test substance, and to provide a method for evaluating the influence of a chemical substance in the animal or a part thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gene-modified animal is obtained by introducing a DNA obtained by functionally linking an allyl hydrocarbon receptor-binding enhancer present at the 5' upstream of a tyrosine hydroxylase gene, any promotor, a reporter gene, and a poly(A) addition signal.
