The steering shaft has an outer mantle sleeve (1) containing a sliding inner shaft (2) supported by a linear bearing unit (3), with pivot couplings at the opposite ends of the outer mantle sleeve and the inner shaft for connection to further components of the steering mechanism. The inner shaft is assembled from a termination piece (6) provided with the pivot coupling (5), a pipe profile (7) matched to the required length of the steering shaft and a bearing head (8), attached to the end of the pipe profile for cooperation with the linear bearing unit. |
