[PROBLEMS] An electric power generation device having strength sufficient to endure a strong water flow. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A water flow receiving body (11) is pivotably supported by a shaft (12) on the surface of a first belt (1). When the water receiving body (11) receives a water flow to be pivoted to an upright position, the pivoting motion of the water receiving body (11) is restricted by a stopper (21) provided on the surface of a second belt (2) running parallel to and at the same speed as the first belt (1). This causes pressing force of the water flow applied to the water flow receiving body (11) to be transmitted to the first belt (1) via the shaft (12) and also to the second belt (2) via the stopper (21). Thus, force acting on the shaft (12) is less than a case where the water flow receiving body (11) is supported by the shaft (12) alone.
