REPRESSOR GENE AND METHOD FOR REPRESSING THE NEURAL CELL DIFFERENTIATION

PURPOSE: A method for suppressing neural cell differentiation using a gene(Idh3a) is provided to control differentiation of neural cells for treatment or experiment. CONSTITUTION: An Idh3a gene is used for suppressing differentiation of neural cells. The overexpression of the Idh3a gene in cells which differentiates to neural cells suppresses neural cell differentiation. The cells are PC12(pheochromocytoma-12 cell) cells. The differentiation is confirmed through immunocytochemistry. An agent for suppressing differentiation of neural cells contains the Idh3a gene or a protein encoded by the Idh3a gene as an active ingredient.
