PURPOSE: A door driving apparatus of an optical disc player is provided to open/close a disc hole, formed on the upper surface of the optical disc player, with a door. CONSTITUTION: A door driving apparatus of an optical disc player comprises a second case(90), a door(100), a drive motor(30), a driving gear(40), a guide plate(50), a gear plate(60) and a first case(10). The second case comprises a disc hole(92) for inserting a disc. The door is slidably installed on one side of the second case to selectively open/close the disc hole. The drive motor provides the power required for opening/closing the door. The driving gear is rotated with the power of the drive motor. The guide plate moves by selectively receiving the power of the driving gear. In the state that the gear plate is connected with the door, the gear plate moves while engaging with the driving gear. A guide projection on the guide plate is inserted into one side of the gear plate to be guided. In the state that the door is closed, the movement of the gear plate is regulated by the guide projection. The first case in which a turn-table, an optical pick-up base, and a main board are installed is connected to the second case.
