PURPOSE: A digital image processing device and operation method change the image taken a photograph of before the initialization of the GPS module signal into the image including the photographing position information. CONSTITUTION: A GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver(160) receives the GPS location information from a GPS satellite. A sensor unit(170) senses the movement of the digital image processing device(100). The digital signal processor(180) temporarily stores the motion estimation by the sensor unit about the image recording before the initialization of the GPS receiver. After the GPS receiver is initialized, the digital signal processor changes the motion estimation into the photography GPS location information.
