<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the security of a vehicle by disabling the start of an engine by a portable device if the portable device is locked in a cabin. <P>SOLUTION: A system stores an ID code of the portable device 1 locked in the cabin and determines whether a driver keeps a portable device 1 other than the portable device 1 locked in the cabin by using the stored ID code when the driver gets on a vehicle and operates an engine switch.
