<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with a connecting direction of a male terminal and a female terminal to be along the surface of a substrate and capable of inserting the male terminal accurately and easily into a substrate hole at assembling. <P>SOLUTION: The connector includes a plurality of male terminals ( a male terminal 31, a male terminal 32, a male terminal 33) and a connector housing having a wall part 22. The connecting direction E of the female terminal and the male terminal is a direction along a surface of the substrate 4. Each male terminal includes a substrate hole insertion part (a substrate hole insertion part 31d, a substrate hole insertion part 32d, a substrate hole insertion part 33d), an intermediate part (an intermediate part 31m, an intermediate part 32m, an intermediate part 33m), an inclination part (an inclination part 31n, an inclination part 32n, an inclination part 33n), and a terminal connection part (a terminal connection part 31c, a terminal connection part 32c, a terminal connection part 33c).
