RADIO METER-READING SYSTEM, RADIO METER-READING METHOD, RADIO SLAVE DEVICE, RELAY TRANSMITTER, AND PROGRAM FOR OPERATING THEM

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce latency for consumed amount data acquisition and speed up meter-reading operation when reading meter using radio communication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A radio meter-reading system 1 includes: a radio slave device 3 which transmits consumed amount data measured by water meter 2 wirelessly; a radio master device 5 which receives the consumed amount data transmitted from the radio slave device 3; a handy terminal 4 which receives the consumed amount data from the radio master device 5 and collects data. The radio slave device 3 requests transmission of the consumed amount data to the water meter 2, before the meter-reading to be executed in response to an instruction from the handy terminal 4 and stores the received data in memory 33. When meter-reading is executed, the radio slave device reads the consumed amount data from memory 33 and transmits the data to the radio master device 5, and the radio master device transmits the data to the handy terminal 4.
