<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color stone to which a cutting design is applied, the cutting design giving an impression of a more beautiful brilliance of the color stone to a person observing the color stone. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The color stone 1 is formed of a material having a refractive index n of 1.55 to 2.40 and has been subjected to round brilliant cutting. In the color stone, a pavilion angle p and a crown angle c satisfy a correlation of -A(n)×p+B(n)+K1≥c≥-A(n)×p+B(n)+K2, wherein A(n)=-1.122×n<SP>5</SP>+9.14×n<SP>4</SP>-26.752×n<SP>3</SP>+32.982×n<SP>2</SP>-12.842×n, B(n)=-22.323×n<SP>5</SP>+184.166×n<SP>4</SP>-527.616×n<SP>3</SP>+594.102×n<SP>2</SP>-128.68×n, K1=+4, and K2=-4.
