<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably update firmware in all necessary apparatuses in a user environment with respect to a trouble caused by firmware due to a special specification request and a specific user environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The firmware can be distributed only to the necessary image forming apparatus used by a specific user by distributing firmware to the image forming apparatus having updated destination information. Unnecessary firmware is prevented from being unnecessarily distributed to the image forming apparatus used by a general user, and the general user has no need to spend time to update the unnecessary firmware.
