VIDEO/AUDIO REPRODUCING SYSTEM, AV AMPLIFIER, AND PROGRAM

A video/audio reproducing system is provided with a function of preventing an AV amplifier or another reproducing device connected by HDMI cables from being automatically powered off even if no video signal is inputted to a video signal display device any more. The video/audio reproducing system is fundamentally configured from a video signal display device (10) for displaying a video signal, a reproducing device (40) for reproducing media content including at least one of the video signal or an audio signal, and an AV amplifier (20) to which the video signal or the audio signal from the reproducing device is inputted, and which outputs the video signal and/or the audio signal to the video signal display device when including the video signal.  The video signal display device and the amplifier are connected by an HDMI cable and the AV amplifier and the reproducing device are connected by an HDMI cable.  In addition, the AV amplifier is provided with a CEC signal control means (24) for controlling the CEC signal from the video signal display device.
