The device has an insulated tray (1) with a good accommodating surface (2) with a height-adjustable air blowing area (5). A cooling element (3) includes a ventilator (4) for circulating a cooling air flow over the surface. A bistable element (6) lowers the blowing area in a stable position and locks the blowing area in a certain height in another stable position. The bistable element is formed by a bistable spring and a pretensioned strip that is made of steel. The blowing area is connected with the surface over guiding elements.
