The invention relates a motorised spotlight (1) for stage use. The spotlight (1) comprises an outer gimbal (2) comprising mounting means (5) for rigidly fixating the motorised spotlight (1) to an installation surface (18), such as a ceiling of a stage, an inner gimbal (3) being double-sided suspended in the outer gimbal (2), and a spotlight housing (4) comprising at least one light emitting source (6), wherein the spotlight housing (4) is double-sided suspended in the inner gimbal (3). The invention further relates to use of a motorised spotlight (1).
