PURPOSE: A method for setting an optimum temperature for an air-conditioner is provided to maintain a proper amount of reverse-transferred refrigerant by setting an optimum temperature according to the installation position of an indoor unit. CONSTITUTION: When a temperature is greater than a set value(S10), the heat exchange amount of an indoor unit is measured by increasing the amount of the reverse-transferred refrigerant of an outdoor unit. When the measured heat exchange amount reaches the set value, the undercooling degree of the outdoor unit is measured. The undercooling degree measuring step comprises a step of closing an undercooling expansion valve of an undercooling unit(S11), a step of driving the indoor unit at maximum capacity(S12), and a step of keeping the superheated temperature of the indoor unit at the set value(S13).
