<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas sensor which can improve the shape flexibility of a detection element while simplifying a structure, reducing a size. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor 1 comprises: the detection element 2 for detecting a concentration of a particular gas component within a measurement target gas; and a holder 4 having the conductivity and an element insertion hole into which the detection element is inserted.
