<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism of content playing back equipment which operates a communication device and a decoding apparatus provided in each equipment connected via a network, in cooperation to accelerate switching from reproducing processing in which requested processing performance is comparatively low to reproducing processing in which the requested processing performance is comparatively high. <P>SOLUTION: Reproduction of content in which processing performance requested for reproduction is lower is performed using a communication means and a decoding means with lower processing performance. In parallel with this reproduction, reproduction of content in which processing performance requested for reproduction is higher is performed using a communication means and a decoding mean with higher processing performance. In addition, processing time required for reception and decoding of coded content for unit time or a processing amount of reception processing and decoding processing of the coded content which is processed in the unit time is measured and managed as the processing performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
