PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for surely correcting transfer displacement between images on a recording paper, which changes with time, when a plurality of images are superimposed and transferred to the recording paper conveyed by a conveying member. SOLUTION: A pattern for detecting an image position is formed on a conveying belt 150 and detected by a density sensor 155 to determine color shift and generate light beam output timing correction data. Light beam timing correction data is compensated based on second correction data. The light beam timing correction data is compensated based on third correction data. The color shift on paper P caused by a relative displacement between the conveying belt 150 and the paper P is corrected without changing feedback correction control. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
