PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition well-balanced among heat resistance, resistance to fatigue from flexing and abrasion resistance and a tire using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition includes a rubber component, carbon black and/or silica and a compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>are each the same or different and a 1-20C hydrocarbon and R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>may be mutually bound to form a ring structure; R<SP>5</SP>is a 13-500C hydrocarbon; and R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>5</SP>each may contain a hetero atom).
