<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator that is capable of being made unrotatable without continuously feeding electricity to a rotary drive actuator, saving space and power, being made compact and highly durable. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In one end part 41c located, across an engaging teeth part 43 of a lock arm member 41, on the opposite side of the other end part 41b, a fulcrum point 42 being provided therein, a joint part 44 jointing a front edge of a sliding piston member 25a projected with being able to be driven to slide is provided in a long hole 44a with an engagement pin 25b being loosely fitted. When a tooth 43a of the engaging teeth part 43 is engaged with a tooth 29d formed in a first large diameter gear part 29a of a first speed reduction gear 29, the fulcrum point 42 of the lock arm member 41 is located in the upper direction of a pressure angle line P of the tooth 43a of the engaging teeth part 43 and the tooth 29d of the first large diameter gear part 29a of the first speed reduction gear 29.
