摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that evaporation gas of a high concentration is sucked to an engine at once and fluctuation of an air-fuel ratio is increased when a purge rate is set to be large in a state that the concentration of the evaporation gas is high, driving performance and emission are badly influenced, and the purge rate cannot be set to be large, and a necessary purge flow rate cannot be secured. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This canister purge control device for the internal combustion engine includes a means for recovering fuel evaporated in a fuel tank, a means for purging the recovered fuel to a combustion chamber, a purge air-fuel ratio estimating means for estimating a purge air-fuel ratio, and a means for correcting, based on the purge air-fuel ratio, a reference fuel injection amount based on an engine speed and an intake air amount. When a purge rate is changed with respect to a purge rate in purge introduction, the control device purges at increased purge rate when a relationship between an increase rate in purge rate with respect to that in the introduction of purge and an increase rate in fuel vapor gas is in proportion, and the control device fixes the purge rate when the increase rate in fuel vapor gas does not have proportional relationship with the increase rate in purge rate.
